Four Generations Strong and Growing
Triangle Chemical Company was founded in 1947 in Macon, Georgia as a formulation lab for petroleum chemical additives. Through the leadership of Richard Maddux and Wycliffe Griffin, Triangle began to target the agricultural industry and shifted from formulation into distribution. This change established the foundation for Triangle’s core business.
In 1983, Triangle became a founding member of Tenkoz. An entity comprised of independent distribution companies throughout the United States, Tenkoz accounts for over 25% of the crop protection market in the country. We use this national presence and recognition to purchase key products at the most competitive prices. In 2000, growth continued into the Florida market under the leadership of President Gene Maddux. Triangle currently has three locations servicing the Florida market in addition to the seven locations in Georgia.
Now with our fourth generation of family involvement, Triangle is committed to the future of agriculture in our core markets and will continue to provide unprecedented service for our customers.
